~~~~Education system in India~~~~DEMANDS CHANGE~~
Education builds the man so it builds the nation.! We supply bureaucrats to the government, software engineers to the IT companies around the world, highly paid managers to the multinationals, we supply engineers and science graduates as researchers to the foreign universities. What are we building for ourselves???? India needs a huge force of innovators who could make it self reliant in all kinds of sciences and technologies. India needs artists who could make its culture the most popular in the world. A culture which helps in selling India’s products across the world. In short, India needs Henry Fords, Bill Gateses, Thomas Alva Edisons and Michael Schumachers born and educated in India.
One may say we had few. Yes, we had. M. S. Swaminathan who made India self reliant in food grains & Green Revolution. Dhiru Bhai Ambani who proved that even a common man can become a billionaire. Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam who dared to build missiles for India & Dr M.S.Subalakshmi who is the ambassador of the Indian music to the world..!!
But they are not the products of this education system. This system did not teach them how to become innovators or entrepreneurs or artists. Had it done so, they would have been millions in numbers. These people were inspired themselves.
It is the education which should inspire one to become something one really wants to. Education should make you free, should make you experiment and it should make you ask questions. Ultimately, it should make you realize what you are.
Youngsters in India, do not have the freedom of selecting there career, it is said. They are forced to become engineers, doctors, MBA’s and IAS officers, it is said. Yes, agree. But that is not the problem. The problem is, youngsters in India do not have the vision to think beyond. Neither their parents, nor their grandparents had that vision. This is where the root of the problem is.
Generations have gone through a system of education which is not very effective for the country.
We need a effective revolution to change this scenario.! What do we expect from such a revolution??? It means bringing a lot of changes in the system of education. These changes will result into:
Best talents of the country working in the education sector.
Today, education is not the career of choice, but it is the career of compromise. If you are a teacher, people sympathize, they curse the current unemployment in the country. Education is one of the highest profit making ‘industries’ in the service sector, but its workers are the least paid compared to those working in glamorous sectors like the IT industry. This has to change. We need to give importance to good & effective teahers for their service . They deserve more than people in other sectors. Teachears are referred as the "
un sung heros". In the current scenario they havent recieved importance than other people in other sector.
A world class infrastructure
The experience of shopping at malls is better than the old dirty bazaars. The experience of traveling in a metro train is much better than suffering in the city buses. The experience of driving on four or six lane highways is much better the same way. The same way, infrastructure has a meaning in education. World class universities and schools with world class libraries, laboratories and classrooms, in a world class building make a world class infrastructure for education.
Greater investments into education, public as well as private.
We need world class infrastructure and best talents in all schools and universities of India. These resources should not remain limited to a handful of IIT’s or IIM’s. Each village should have a school with all resources and facilities. Each university should have whatever it needs for a better education. This would require huge money and hence, huge investments.
Education which encourages indian law
We need education which makes the people to stand in their own legs. People should be aware of the things that are happening around them. There are a lot of elements or units in the current educational system which is not required for a child's future .(Eg) Why should we learn chapters like Circles, Congruency of Triangles & What are we going to do with that in the future?? . This is a droplet in a huge ocean. There are many things like this. Instead the focus can be given on Indian Penal Code ( IPC) & other basic laws .Each & every soul should be aware of the law of the land. Importance should be given on Public Adminstration & in fields like politics , social service which have been neglected by our educational system at present, these fields if implemented properly with proper adminstration & care , we can see a lot of improvement in the life of a common man
Education which encourages entrepreneurship.
a Hindi movie ‘Nayak’, the father of the actress refuses to permit for her marriage with the actor because he is not a government servant. At last, he permits, but then the Actor had become the chief minister of the state. This mindset of the society, particularly of the middle class, has to be changed. You are not a respectful person if after education you start a business, as that is seen as a failure in getting a job. It is the task of the education system to change this mindset. It also has to inspire the youth for the necessary courage and vision for entrepreneurship.
in a Nutshell , our educational system should
"MAKE A CHILD SAD WHEN THE LAST BELL IS RUNG AT THE END OF THE DAY IN THE SCHOOL"...!!!
Corruption...! Can anyone find medicine for this?
Corruption is like a termite which is eating away and is having it roots deep into the Indian society.Every field like, investigating agency,political corruption,judiciary which was till now clean is also having to black clots of corruption on it.Every Goverment servant from the top level officer till the lower grade of peon is corrupt. And untill you dont pay some amount of money as bribe to get the work done your file will not be processed further or any work will not proceed further. The suggestion which i would like to mention in order to stop corruption are as follows.
1, Separate courts to deal with the matter of corruption and expediately give the judgement of the same and that should be time bound.
2, Removing the technicalities of the procedural laws while laying a trap which the corrupt official often get out from the charge of the corruption using the tecknicalities . So tecknicalities should be removed.
3, Statement made before the police officer by the complianant should be irreversable and it should be seen that complainant is not making a frivlous complaint in the A.C.B office and he should be also punished if he turns hostile.
4,The vigilence department should use new technological devices for the trap such as spy camera,ultrasonic recorders and other technology
5, The procedure of sanctions as prescribed by the prevention of corruption laws should be removed. No previous sanction to be neccesary will laying trap for the judicial person,or I.A.S personnel and any goverment officer bearing high post.
6, The punishment given should be stringent like cancelling all kind perks and and while the officer is suspended his montly income should be cancelled till he is proved not guilty by the Honourable court .
7, International accounts of the corrupt leaders,and their property should be confiscated by the goverment if they are found guilty after giving fair chance to the accused to present his case.and money laundering acts should provide strict punishment and income tax to maintain strict vigil on the corrupt goverment officer.
8,Majority of the corrupt leader and goverment officer have their accounts in the international banks and goverment should tie up and negotiate with these banks to provide details of such corrupt official and freeze their account and return such money to goverment of India.
TO MAKE INDIA A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE..!
Right from birth can anyone think what have we done for this country.Everyone utters this dialogue " India and indians wont improve at all". This famous line comes from people who have always visited a foreign country for a holiday.They just compare the rules, facilities over there & with ours & finally they write off this country to trash by words. Has anyone given a thought for all these things.?
Why do they Compare between France TGV with Indian Suburban train? Why do they think Indian Technology is inferior to western's ? Indians themselves doesnt believe their own talents & energy at one point of time. Why cant we make this country a better to place to live in.?
Inspite having a huge population , why arent we able to do things better than the Western people.? Indian Brain are woth millions in U.S. Indian talent is getting drained somewhere inspite having a brilliant educational system.
Indian people doesnt possess a broad mind in their thinking. People are so self centered with their approach & basic thinking. This could afftect our country in one way which people hasnt realised. One eg , if anyone here violates a traffic rule in this country without any hesitation they offer a bribe to the officer incharge after they get caught. People are in a situation that they dont realise their own crimes."Small things can create a big impact" which people have forgotten. Basic thinking of humans are lacking in this country.The only remedy is themselves "SELF REALISATION WITH A PINCH OF NATIONAL INTEREST" .If this is present in the hearts of the people , i am sure that 85% of national problems are solved. People sould have another thing called as "Empathy" which can create a huge positive impact in this country. its nothing but understanding others feelings ,imagining as though standing in their own shoes.
The Above two things can solve country's major problems.
"INDIANS CAN ACHIEVE ANYTHING IN THIS PLANET"
Knowing our legislators ....!!!
What do we know about our MPs? Some of us may know an individual MP or two. We know that some of them are rich and others have criminal cases against them. But we do not have a total picture of the backgrounds of the MPs who constitute the august body of persons that enacts our laws and policies. What are their strengths and vulnerabilities? Will their capabilities, backgrounds and past conduct be an aid or hindrance in the effective discharge of their duties? How do the MPs from the different political parties and states measure up in terms of these attributes?
The overall picture
• Over 50% of the MPs have assets of over Rs. 50 lakhs.
• A larger proportion of our less educated MPs are richer than their well schooled counterparts.
• More among the richer MPs have more criminal cases than those with higher educational attainments.
• Women MPs possess higher education levels than their male counterparts, but they account for only eight per cent of the total.
• Younger MPs have higher education levels than the rest, but they are only a minority.
• Four states, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand account for over 50% of all MPs with criminal cases that could attract severe penalties (5 years’ imprisonment or more).
• The two communist parties and DMK have the largest proportion of senior MPs aged 66 years and above...!!
